Personal Network Drive
The personal network drive is used for saving user data when operating in Restore Mode. This is not a web-based drive, FTP, or similar. It is a fully disk-level network drive — you can run files and save files on it, and it functions identically to a local disk.
I. Feature Comparison
| Comparison Item | vDisk Built-in Network Drive |
|---|---|
| Baidu Cloud Drive | Compared to the web and application versions of Baidu Cloud Drive, Baidu Cloud is a file-level drive suitable for internet transfers. vDisk is a sector-level drive suitable for intranets — ideal for file storage, assignment storage, and direct installation of software to the drive. |
| FTP / Web-based Drive | Requires additional user operations; not transparent to the user, and files cannot be opened directly from the drive. |
| Multi-server performance | Supports multi-server load balancing, allowing existing server capacity to be utilized to provide storage services. |
| Data security | Personal network drive mounting is only possible within the deployment environment, protecting data security. |
II. Enable the Network Drive and Create a Template on the Server
1) Console → Personal Network Drive → Drive Settings

Enable network drive: Must be enabled here for the drive to function properly.
Allow password recovery: When enabled, users can perform self-service password recovery on the client.
Data template: Templates can include preset user data that will be present the first time a user opens the drive. By creating templates on different servers, load balancing can be achieved, distributing users across different servers.
How to Add Multiple Servers
| Step | Method |
|---|---|
| 1 | On the other server, run the server installation package directly — no configuration is needed after installation. |
| 2 | Return to the main server: Console → Servers → Server Information |
| 3 | Click New; once it shows as online, the addition is complete. |
| 4 | Repeat the above steps to add all data servers. |
2) Add a New Network Drive User

Network drive users must be placed under a group — you must create a group first before creating users.
When adding users, you can import them from an Excel spreadsheet.
For the data template, if "auto" is selected, servers are assigned automatically.
III. User Login

Locate the netdiskgui program in the client installation directory.

Send this program to the desktop as a shortcut.

On the first login, the user is required to change their password.

After a successful login, the network drive information is displayed. The network drive functions just like a local disk — programs can be run directly from the drive.
